Abu Dhabi Media Company (ADM) has announced that ‘UFC Arabia,’ the first Arabic language UFC app in the MENA region, will now be accessible on Smart TVs as part of ADM’s partnership with UFC. The launch comes ahead of the highly anticipated title bout between UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and undefeated contender Dominick Reyes at UFC 247: JONES vs REYES on Sunday, 9 February.

‘UFC Arabia’, which is downloadable through all major online stores, will now be available for viewing on Apple TV, Samsung TV, Android Smart TV, Xbox and Amazon Fire, starting 8 February 2020. This will allow app subscribers from across 21 countries in the region to watch UFC fights directly on their Smart TV using their existing username and password.

Yaqoob AlSaadi, Head of Abu Dhabi Sports Channels at ADM, said “We are very excited to announce that all the passionate UFC fans in the UAE and MENA can continue to enjoy exclusive access to all UFC live events and exclusive content library on their Smart TVs through the UFC Arabia app. We have seen significant growth in subscriptions across the MENA region since the official launch in July 2019, which is a testament to the quality of the UFC Arabia application and its content as well as the growth of the sports in the region.”

The move to expand the audience’s access to UFC content through its availability on smart TVs is part of the ongoing Abu Dhabi Media Strategy that aims to provide its consumers with compelling digital content how and when they want it.
