SACRAMENTO and LAS VEGAS – Trifecta, the nation’s largest all-organic meal delivery service, and UFC®, the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization, today introduced “Trifecta Fight Prep,” a new nutritional support program to assist UFC athletes during their fight camp and fight week stages of competition preparation.

Trifecta will work in conjunction with the UFC Performance Institute® to offer the nutritional support program to athletes who opt to receive it as part as part of their preparation for upcoming UFC events. Trifecta’s culinary chefs and the Performance Institute’s nutrition team will create custom meal plans for those athletes throughout their fight camps and fight weeks.

“Trifecta’s new fight prep program is an absolute game-changer for UFC athletes,” UFC Vice President of Operations – Performance Institute James Kimball said. “With the offering of this program, athletes– should they choose to participate– will have access to culinary chefs and sports dietitians who can offer the highest-quality, individualized nutritional support and meal planning for the fighters. Proper nutrition and meal prep are critical elements that help each UFC athlete compete in the Octagon at an optimized level, and we’re thrilled with Trifecta’s commitment to evolve the sport of MMA through this innovative program.”

All processes associated with weight management and weight making can now be supported through the program, from the first phase of an athlete’s fight camp, through their weight descent process, and finally, through their post weigh-in nutrition during fight week. „Trifecta Fight Prep“ will serve as the exclusive meal preparation service for participating athletes. Performance Institute staff will be available to consult with each athlete using the program through all stages of competition preparation. Additional program service and usage details will be communicated by Trifecta and UFC officials directly to UFC athletes at an appropriate time.

“We are thrilled to partner with UFC to make this program a massive success,” said Greg Connolly, Co-Founder and CEO of Trifecta. “Large sports organizations, from the strength and conditioning coaches on up, have long known how critical nutrition is to performance, and UFC is the first to act on that knowledge. With UFC, we will be providing fully prepared food to the participating fighters with individualized macro and calorie levels designed to optimize their health and weight management. We’re excited to see nutrition in this sport finally rising to the next level.”

The program, which will launch in the first quarter of 2019, will be accessible for athletes competing on a majority of UFC events. For more information on Trifecta, visit trifectanutrition.com
