“I was very happy, obviously, and also relieved that I got back onto the winning track against Witt. In addition, I was able to believe in what I worked on that fight camp, totally concentrated on winning that fight.”

“I took a week off, relaxed, but then went right back into a hard training camp,” Sato told UFC.com through an interpreter. “I went through that fight with no injury and immediately after that fight my feeling shifted to the next fight.”

The next fight will be Daniel Rodriguez, who he’ll run into on the main card of UFC Fight Night: Munhoz vs Edgar this Saturday evening. Like Sato, Rodriguez is a finish-heavy upstart wasting no time raising eyebrows among the welterweights.
