A year after the UFC’s first historic event at Madison Square Garden, the Octagon will return to the storied venue in New York City on Saturday, Nov. 4, as Michael Bisping defends his world middleweight title against Canadian superstar Georges St-Pierre in the main event of UFC 217.

Also featured on the card, which airs live on Pay-Per-View in the long-awaited bantamweight championship bout between Cody Garbrandt and TJ Dillashaw.

After a career-best year in 2016 in which he sandwiched a pair of victories over superstars Anderson Silva and Dan Henderson around a knockout of Luke Rockhold that earned him the UFC middleweight crown, Bisping will now attempt to add another legend to his resume when he faces the returning St-Pierre. Perhaps the greatest welterweight in UFC history, GSP will make his first Octagon start since 2013, and after nine successful defenses of that title, he will begin a new chapter in his storied career at 185 pounds.
