Johnson is attempting to make history by earning his 11th consecutive successful title defence, one more than Anderson Silva managed during his illustrious reign at middleweight; a run of success that earned him “G.O.A.T.” status. It would also be Johnson’s 13th consecutive UFC win, leaving him three shy of Silva’s mark for consecutive victories overall, another ridiculous record that only the elite of the elite have come close to equalling.
